◆Mayya Mayya (11/8(土)15:30-17:30)
「Mayya Mayya」は2007年公開の映画 『Guru』の劇中曲で、作曲は名匠 A.R. Rahman。アラビア／中東風のメロディラインやリズムが特徴的で、インド音楽と中東音楽の融合を感じられます。物語的にも「誘惑」や「欲望」を象徴するような場面で流れ、Sonaliの振り付けも色っぽく大胆な振付になっています！今までのゲストアーティストでは作り出せなかった振付・体の動きにぜひチャレンジしてみましょう♪
◆Munni Badnnam (11/9(日) 13:00-15:00
この曲は2010年の大ヒット映画 『Dabangg（ダバング）』 の中で使われた曲で、当時インド中を席巻した「アイテムソング」の代表格です。映画内では今でも活躍する名女優 Malaika が踊る“アイテムダンス”で使われ、セクシーさと力強さを兼ね備えたパフォーマンスが大きな話題になりました。この曲をきっかけに「アイテムソング＝映画の目玉曲」という文化がさらに強まったそうです。
歌詞やメロディーがキャッチーでお祭り騒ぎのような曲でインド大衆文化に根ざしたパワーを感じられるのに、セクシーさと華やかさも兼ね揃えたSonaliの振付とのギャップがとってもかっこいい。この大衆的なトーンの曲で、色っぽさもだしつつ土着感を失わない天才的な振付だと思います！ぜひこの振付をみんなに踊ってほしい！と思ってBOLLYQUEたってのお願いでこの曲を教えてもらうことにしました。

◆ Mayya Mayya (Sat, Nov 8 | 15:30–17:30) - by Sonali
“Mayya Mayya” is a song from the 2007 film Guru, composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman. Known for its Arabic/Middle Eastern-inspired melodies and rhythms, the music beautifully fuses Indian and Middle Eastern sounds. In the movie, the song symbolizes themes of temptation and desire, and Sonali’s choreography brings that to life with bold and sensual movements. This is your chance to explore new styles and body expressions never seen before with past guest artists—challenge yourself and enjoy!
◆ Munni Badnaam (Sun, Nov 9 | 13:00–15:00) - by Sonali
This track comes from the blockbuster 2010 film Dabangg and became one of the most iconic “item songs” in Bollywood history, sweeping across India. Performed in the film by the ever-glamorous Malaika Arora, the dance combined sensuality and power, sparking massive buzz. It also cemented the tradition of “item songs” as the centerpiece of Bollywood films.
The lyrics and melody are irresistibly catchy, giving off a festive, celebratory vibe rooted in Indian popular culture. Yet Sonali adds an extra layer of sensuality and glamour with her choreography—creating a powerful contrast. Her genius lies in keeping the earthy, folk-like essence of the song intact while elevating it with stylish moves. It’s a must-dance piece that we at BOLLYQUE specially requested her to teach, just for this workshop!
